Call

Beques de recerca i experimentació

The call for grants for research and artistic experimentation projects in residence at the Santa Mònica Arts Center for the 2021/2022 season has been published. The deadline for submissions is July 13.

The Santa Mònica is opening a call for residency grants aimed at creators in the relational or participatory field, opening up the possibility of developing research projects using the institutional channels that the center itself has at its disposal.

Artistic residencies are understood as temporary stays carried out by creative agents in the context of the center and with a set of accompaniment and support services that it offers. The model implies an experience of exchange in the same space, which is why the Santa Mònica Arts Center will contribute to the production of a collective dimension and interaction between the various artists and their projects.

The objective of activating these relational or participatory artistic research projects, aimed at the public, is to generate forms of social return towards the citizens. These results will be disseminated through the various channels available to the Santa Monica Arts Center, specifically those related to the modality in which each specific project is registered.

The types of Grants for research projects and artistic experimentation in residence at Santa Mònica are:

a) Research in programming and audience activation

Grants for research on experimental forms of programming and audience activation, which use the Center's own activity as a resource to develop around it various experimental activations directly related to the ongoing research.

b) Research in architecture, design of spaces and bodily dispositions
