Museum of Sound Paintings

A sound painting is the visual result obtained from a sonic inspiration. It can also occur in the opposite direction. And (perhaps even more interesting) simultaneously. Sounds inspire textures.

Colors and shapes inspire melodies. This idea arises from the desire to find common ground where different artistic disciplines can coexist. Our need to express ourselves cannot be reduced to a single language. We can express ourselves through music, painting, dance, and non-verbal communication. And each new contribution opens up a rich and valuable world that helps us grow.

The activity combines performance, workshop, and collective creation. It begins with three sound paintings in which Clàudia’s live music inspires the images that Marina creates and projects simultaneously.

Afterwards, participants create their own sound paintings based on different pieces of music, exploring qualities such as intensity, pitch, duration, color, and shape. Finally, all the works are projected together with the music that inspired them.

No previous experience is required—just let yourself be carried away and surprised.

With the participation of Cia La Curiosa

La Curiosa are Alba Marina and Claudia. They have known each other since 2016. Little by little, they discovered that they shared an interest in creation, experimentation, and learning. They are convinced that artistic disciplines should coexist in the same space because they enrich one another. After asking themselves many questions, La Curiosa was born in 2019—a company that seeks answers to the questions these curious creators ask themselves every day.
