By placing the recording of the podcast in the Espai Mòniques and using it as a radio booth and showcase on the Ramblas, the action of a report on the activities of the cycle Perder el temps per ganar espai, a collaboration of the Spaces, Communication and Participation Guilds, located and conducted by Anna Solanilla, Irena Visa, Diana Rangel and Pedro Bennaton, will be activated.
Losing time to gain space, a cycle within the contents of the exhibition Utopia Rambles, organised by the Mòniques del Centre d'Arts Santa Mònica and the OACU, which proposes a relationship with the practical and theoretical work of Francesco Careri.
Using sound recordings, depositions and testimonies, with the possibility of involving the passers-by on the Ramblas, the aim is to create an ethnographic podcast in real time. To make this podcast, microphones will be installed in the Mòniques Space and loudspeakers on the terrace so that pedestrians can hear what is being recorded. All the public will be in the street, but you can invite someone to enter the space to make a testimony.
The participating guilds have an interest in delicately influencing the formal aspects, the spatial arrangement of the recording of the podcast, the memory of an experience, or different experiences, of sound recordings, depositions and witnesses. In other words, how to influence the dramaturgy of the podcast from the space and activities of the cycle Losing time to gain space to share research on strategies to gain, or at least try to gain, urban space.

With the participation of people found on the street
From the Space, Communication and Participation Guilds of the Mòniques, a small cycle has been prepared around the figure of Francesco Careri and his conception of urban drifting, as an active exploration of the act of walking. This cycle will include a reading club guided by Horacio Espinosa, an open conversation with Francesco Careri and Gabriela Navas, an urban drift from Santa Mònica and a live radio programme looking towards the Ramblas.
