Come and play chess with the Tres Peons Chess Club!

We propose you play chess. Respect for the opponent and the rules of the game are fundamental. The result will only depend on your success; you have no external elements that can help or harm you. Alone in front of the board, you will enjoy victory and accept defeat. A school of life.

Club d’Escacs Tres Peons (Barcelona, 1971) headquarters are in Gràcia at Ros de Olano, 9, Barcelona. It is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to teach and facilitate the practice of chess. In the club's 54 years in existence, it has never ceased its activity, which has been the key to it now being the most important club in Catalonia both in terms of the number of players and the activities it organises. In 2022, it created the project "Dones i escacs" (Women and Chess) to reverse the low presence of women in the sport.

For over two weeks, the arts centre transforms to host and mix diverse audiences and actions. An exhibition that aims to question what we mean by, and who is addressed by, what we call, precisely, a “cultural event.”
