Arte Trans Peruano / Tobillo de Kleo

Arte Trans Peruano by Frau Diamanda | 18:30 h. | Bar Lounge | No prior registration

Arte Trans Peruano is a performative conference by Frau Diamanda that attempts to map performative practices made invisible by the contemporary Peruvian art system, dealing with works by Giuseppe Campuzano, Javi Vargas, Pedro Palanca, Coco Cielo “Antartika”, Javier Temple, Carlita Uchu, Bondage, David Sánchez “Misia”, Frau Diamanda and Porno Stars / Elektromarikapop. The works of these artists are inscribed within a queer-transvestite historicity that demands to be revisited in order to reassess the sex-political struggle.

The performance Tobillo de Kleo is the first chapter of the heptalogy Los 7 Secretos de Kleo, created by the artist–demigoddess of Syrian origin Kleo la Faraona. In this series, the artist reveals different dimensions of her personal and collective struggles, focusing on the social privileges embodied by each body. Tobillo de Kleo explores bodily pain, body modifications, and mobility through a participatory game involving all attendees.

Whispers, Hubbub and Paradoxes

“Whispers, hubbub and paradoxes. Attempts towards a politics of enunciation" continues a series of conversations, from the contexts in which we live, about the ways in which we inhabit the paradoxes of enunciation and representation.
