Opening performance of the exhibition Whispers, Hubbub, and Paradoxes

Radia Cava-Ret / Karaoke Inmigrante, 2025

In this version of KONGA Karaoke Inmigrante, the karaoke singers recycle pieces from their repertoire to confess a crime and create a comparsa, exclusively for the opening of Whispers, Hubbub, and Paradoxes. Attempts towards a politics of enunciation. The remains of this comparsa will persist in the exhibition as an insubmissive invitation to continue challenging the world-system.

A living work of art that invites us, through shared repertoires, to share in a moment of political, visual, sonorous and festive reflection.

Led by Radia Cava-ret and Karaoke Inmigrante (Violeta Ospina, Samu Céspedes, Patricia del Razo and Yazel Parra Nahmens)

Radia Cava-ret

Radio Cava-ret is a collective work of live art, promoted by Samu Céspedes and Violeta Ospina, based on radio experimentation, mutual learning of the vibrating body and political listening. Inaugurated in 2016 in Barcelona, the collective is interested in eroticism as a creative force and the expansion of radio, understood as the experimental and erotic reverse of traditional radio.

Karaoke Inmigrante

Karaoke Inmigrante (2017 - ongoing), a cathartic and uncontrolled migration device, is promoted jointly with Patricia del Razo and Yazel Parra Nahmens.

Whispers, hubbub and paradoxes

“Whispers, hubbub and paradoxes. Attempts towards a politics of enunciation" continues a series of conversations, from the contexts in which we live, about the ways in which we inhabit the paradoxes of enunciation and representation.
