Mutan Lab

Practical workshop aimed at adults (no previous knowledge required) in which the construction of instruments will be explored from an experimental and accessible perspective. Using a variety of materials and Mutan Monkey's own creative processes, participants will discover how sound can emerge from experimentation and research with materials. A collective experience to understand the luthier's workshop as a space for innovation and play.

Mutan Lab is a sound research and experimentation project focused on the development of electronic and electroacoustic instruments. It began in 2017 in the Horta neighbourhood of Barcelona as an open and collaborative space to share new ways of listening and relating to sound. Constantly evolving, it combines research, community and artistic creation. The lab has participated in festivals such as Sónar, Sónar Hong Kong, Ensems and LEM.
