The piece Cabinet of Devices  is a room designed to show the power links that lie at the origin of various artefacts related to the technologies of illusion. Taking as its inspiration the model of modernity's cabinets of curiosities, this work aims to transport the public to a space of critical reflection on the ties that the bourgeoisie has forged over the last 500 years to bind and exercise domination over the collective will.

Albert Chamorro

Albert Chamorro lives and works in Sabadell. Born in Gràcia in 1996, he works with the essay as the centre of his practice, in dialogue with scientific research and contemporary arts. His framework of thought is a constant dialogue between the fields of political aesthetics and libertarian technique. With a background in the philosophy of science and performative studies, he collaborates with both institutional and popular spaces investigating how the politics of the present are induced by scenographic mechanisms.

The Assault of Illusion

An exhibition about art, illusion, deception and power. Featuring around twenty local and international artists, it offers a critical journey through various artistic techniques that have shaped our desires and our sense of reality. In the era of deepfakes and artificial intelligence, can art help us unveil these mechanisms of manipulation?
