Summon Mailbox #1

We open the invocation mailbox, an experimental live art device proposed by the Gremio de Participación del Santa Mònica (Violeta Ospina Dguez in conversation with Tatiana Antoni Conesa).

We propose to make a correspondence of "insurrectionary texts-gestures", of textual, oral and gestural forms that resist the coloniality of power and being, the binarism being/not being, migratory control, capacitism and authority, from incarnated experiences.

Taking advantage of the framework of the exhibitions Anti-Futurismo Cimarrón and La posibilidad de no haber sido del Santa Mònica, we invoke this first version of the mailbox of insurrectionary and potential texts-gestures, to be co-responded to by the collectives La Morenada and Radia Cava-ret and by artists and activists discas.

This first version, based on the book of poems "Invocación a las mayorías silenciosas”, by Paloma Chen and on Radia Cava-ret,'s searches, will be an excuse to meet and open up a space for gestures, texts and artistic-political practices of street intervention, peripheral to Santa Mónica's members.

For this reason, the first live delivery of the first correspondence of the bus will take place in the first quarter of 2024 and will be carried out as an intervention and performance in public space: between the art centre, the Rambla de Santa Mònica and the monument to Columbus.

This request is part of the ReparAction proposal of the Santa Mònica Participation Guild 2023-2024. ReparAction is a line of research with the aim of continuing to develop from Les Mòniques an institution that is permeable to all kinds of bodies. A line of research to be in contact with local and transnational agents, a line of research that is a gesture of reparation of the artistic and social fabric that has been historically violated and that lives daily racial, class and capacity oppressions.

Project promoted by the Participation Guild

In collaboration with La Morenada, Radia Cava-ret and collectives discas.

La Morenada is a collective of people from different contexts in Chile and other parts of the Abya Yala territory. They were brought together here in Barcelona by the experience of Calú and Jorja, who camavaleaban and practised La Morenada in their neighbourhood and with the Guerrilla Marika. They are interested in La Morenada as a political, anti-colonial gesture, and as a struggle against heteropatriarchy: "by güeviando el binarismo de género, we simultaneously inhabit different times". 

Radia Cava-ret 

Or Ràdio Cava-ret is a collective work of live art, driven by Samu Céspedes and Violeta Ospina Dguez, which works around radio experimentation, the mutual learning of the vibratile body and political listening. Inaugurated in 2016 in Barcelona, it is interested in eroticism as a creative force and the expansion of radio, as the experimental and erotic reverse of traditional radio. Some of its devices are "Xucla'm l'oïda" with Patricia Del Razo (2022), "Alleujaments sonors" (2022), "Karaoke immigrant", with Patricia Del *Razo (2017-2023), "Bústia d'orgasmes" (2019), "Consultori sentimental de la Sta. B" (2016-2018), among other workshops of radical pedagogy such as "Abans morta que senzilla" (2020-2021) together with Ràdio Gigantes & Molinos.
