Nicolás Rupcich
The concert is made up of seven works for string quartet that explore the sound phenomenon from physical, poetic and textural perspectives. It includes three miniatures by participants of the Sound Composition and Experimentation Workshop that investigate tremor and pulse as an imprint (Pedro González Álvarez), propose a guttural and immediate energy (Darcy Copeland), and evoke the collective flight of birds (Keiichi Umezawa). Mosaïques, in which Fernando Fiszbein works with textures in short movements. Raquel García-Tomás and her transformation of Claudio Monteverdi into fluctuating matter. Erin Busch, who is inspired by a mural that suggests desire and fragility. And Rebecca Saunders, exploring the sound gesture as a vibrant trace.
*This concert is preceded by the performance of Luciano Berio's Sequenza XIII for accordion, by Mateja Zenzerovicra.
