Performance by Meritxell de Soto on the choreographic practice she has developed over the past few years together with Guillem Jiménez. The sound performance is based on the concept of punching with the body, a practice that turns DJ machines into subjects of affection and eroticism, in order to reveal, from their technical dimension, the web of power relations that articulate every encounter between two bodies.

Meritxell de Soto questions themes such as identity, gender and eroticism, and uses sound to reinterpret these concepts and bring the body and the machine closer together. Her performances have been presented at the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris and at the CCCB in Barcelona, where she is currently curating the <3Or series, focused on local electronic music programming and perspectives from elsewhere.
