On Saturday, May 16, Santa Mònica once again opens its doors at night for The Night of the Museums 2026. A perfect occasion to experience art in a different way: unhurried, at night, and with proposals designed to surprise you.
Throughout the evening you can walk through the center’s spaces, enjoy an illusionist installation, a poetic performance, and immerse yourself in an exhibition full of magical surprises. We look forward to seeing you.
7:00 pm – 12:00 am (last entry at 11:20 pm) / Exhibition spaces
An immersive exhibition about art, illusion, deception, and power. Featuring around twenty local and international artists, it offers a journey to discover how images can seduce us and influence the way we see reality.
In a context marked by deep fakes, the massive circulation of images, and artificial intelligence, the exhibition poses a key question: can art help us understand and reveal these mechanisms of visual manipulation and, at the same time, help us unmask these deceptions?
Curated by Enric Puig Punyet.
7:30 pm – 11:30 pm / Sala Bar
A participatory illusionist installation by ESTAMPA that invites you to play with light and perception. An interactive analog experience exploring the interfaces between light and matter.
In a room, a table. On the table, a pane of glass dividing it. On both sides, plates and cutlery. Everything ready to split the light in two and summon specters.
8:00 pm, 9:00 pm, 10:00 pm, and 11:00 pm / Lecture Room
A two-voice poetic recital that explores truth, language, and the stories we build every day. A stage proposal by Germán Chocero and Paula G. Vila that connects with the ideas of the exhibition and invites us to imagine, reveal, question, and revisit the fallacies and social constructs present in both the private and public spheres.
