Three women explain the suffering and uncertainty caused by war and destruction in the wake of the Israeli bombing of Iran in the spring of 2025. The Catalan theatre company )e( espai en construcció gives voice, body and music to these heartbreaking texts by Atieh Attarzadeh, Leila Kasra and Sílvia Alberich.
Every year around the International Day of the Persecuted Writer (15 November), PEN Català organises activities that denounce the fact that freedom of expression is not a right we are guaranteed, and gives a voice to persecuted writers everywhere.
