The poet and PEN Català ambassador Biel Mesquida will give voice to three poems by fellow poet Katsiarina Andreieva, written from the prison where she is being held in Belarus. We will present the case of Andreieva, honorary member of PEN Català, and her poetic work.

Every year around the International Day of the Persecuted Writer (15 November), PEN Català organises activities that denounce the fact that freedom of expression is not a right we are guaranteed, and gives a voice to persecuted writers everywhere.

The recital will be accompanied by live music.

Activity curated by PEN Català

With the participation of Biel Mesquida i Marta Nin
