"The ardour" seems to be a discourse where a shadow talks about the need to make immortal the outsider communities, teenagers, old women, queers and bodies on the margins, to make of them street bands that live desire as an immortal romantic state, against rapid consumption, as a tool for the destruction of affective-capitalist society. I dream of an ardour that is desire put in crisis, not limited to pornography but to the possibility of engendering an almost holy state, of eternal enthusiasm. I dream of occupying the streets with passion. There is something incendiary in the discourse of the piece and a lot of poetics influenced by the post-anarchist theories of Hakim Bey, the wild and queer narrative of William Burroughs or Arthur Rimbaud and the idea of immortality of the Russian cosmists (we demand biopower to make the disinherited immortal, they are already vampires). From the stage, the concept of revolution is viewed from afar, in a way that reflects the contemporary lens from which we look at change in today's society: as an impossible cinematic romanticism (we are embodying The Romantic). At the end of it all, what seemed like a speech was a poem dedicated to the street and to my parents. And what looked like a monster was a faggot.

I am Alberto Cortés. I trained as a director and playwright in Malaga, where I also graduated in Art History. I'm on stage because in a way I hate it and in that war I find my place. In 2009 I began my journey on the stage as a director and bastard playwright and over the years it has been transformed into a long process of "wildness" from the Andalusian periphery. I've met various creators who have been part of my training and who at some point have influenced my way of looking at the stage (Gabriela Carrizo, Rodrigo García, David Fernández, Patricia Caballero, etc.), but my greatest inspiration continues to be my close network of friends and local creators.  The path led to something that made me place myself on the stage in the first person. I still hold on to my desire to continue because I have hope in the unnamable, the intangible and the human. I develop my own creations, I share my concerns in the form of workshops and I accompany the work of other creators. Today I develop my identity as a creator, director, playwright, accompanist, performer, teacher, son, uncle, lover, friend.
