The artist Núria Güell will carry out a series of personal interviews with the pre-selected candidates to decide who will represent her during her public artistic residency Imatge pública. La plusvàlua de la representació (Public Image. The Surplus Value of Representation).

Hello, I’m Núria Güell, a contemporary artist, and I am looking for someone who would like to act on my behalf. This person will represent me at all public events during my residency at the Santa Mònica arts centre, as part of the exhibition Sense esquerda no hi ha punt de llum, from 14 to 24 October 2025.

  • Working hours: part-time, flexible schedule between 11:00 am and 8:30 pm. 
  • Salary: approx. €30/hour. 
  • Pre-selection: please send a short video explaining your motivation to  imagenpublica@nuriaguell.com 
  • Deadline: 22 September. 
  • Personal interviews: 10 October, 4 pm – 6 pm.

Núria Güell (Vidreres, 1981) graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, specialising in sculpture, continuing her studies at the Cátedra de Arte de Conducta in Havana, Cuba.  Her artistic practice is characterised by being a practice of confrontation, of questioning evidence and moral conventions. She understands her practice as socially and politically necessary, in which the cultural and the established are at stake.

For over two weeks, the arts centre transforms to host and mix diverse audiences and actions. An exhibition that aims to question what we mean by, and who is addressed by, what we call, precisely, a “cultural event.”
