Mireia Molina Costa
A series of sound essays on the Western language traditionally associated with the sea, its patriarchal-colonial silencing operations and its possible defeat. Working with breath, voice and words, Ama ara l’eco nua is a work in progress that takes as its starting point traditional seafaring songs – among them havaneres and valsets mariners – and the possible fragmentation and sedimentation of their language when it passes through the body that sings.

Mireia Molina Costa
Mireia Molina Costa (Barcelona, 1997) is interested in the forms that language takes through the word, the voice and their absence. From a focus on ecohydrofeminism, her practice is situated between writing, singing and sound creation, as well as in relational processes that have given rise to editorial, curatorial and audiovisual works.
