Escolta del cos elèctric is a musical performance by Amidea Clotet for electric guitar.
If the musical instrument is understood as an electrified body, what kinds of sounds can it produce? Can its heartbeat, its breathing, be heard? What gestures allow its vibrations to resonate through the other bodies present? In this performance, Amidea Clotet presents a new soundscape based on the sounds of the human body, channelled through the wooden body of the electric guitar. This piece combines experimental music with the sounds and rhythms of breathing and beating hearts, giving the instrument a life of its own through human interaction.

Amidea Clotet (Málaga, 1997) is a guitarist and improvising artist. She studied electric guitar at the Liceu Conservatory and completed a master’s degree in Free Improvisation at the Catalonia College of Music (ESMUC). Moving away from the guitar’s traditional role, she treats it simply as a source of sound amplification. Using extended techniques and objects, she creates spontaneous soundscapes.
Her raw music emerges as a response to the times we live in: a dual interplay between daring sonic experimentation and the beauty of subtle composition. She has collaborated with artists including Marcel·lí Bayer, Agustí Fernández and Rafal Mazur.
