Sol Picó

A body in presence. A shared breath. A dance without artifice.

Sol Picó proposes an improvised solo that is born from silence and is accompanied by the captivating sound of Miquel Jordá's shakuhachi flute. Together they open an intimate and spiritual space where movement becomes channel and presence.

A wordless conversation between the body and the audience.

An attempt to suspend thought and invite us to listen. To reconnect with our own movement. With the essence. It is not about looking, but about inhabiting the experience.

An ephemeral encounter that invites deep listening and connection.

Sol Picó

Sol Picó is a choreographer and dancer born in Alcoy (Alicante), founder in 1994 of the company that bears her name. Her stage language is based on the hybridisation of genres, combining contemporary dance, physical theatre, flamenco and popular culture with a refined technique, physical strength and heartbreaking humour.

Her creations are characterised by her own irreverent and dynamic style, blurring the boundaries between opposites: ballet and flamenco, warlike costumes and femininity, voluminous scenery and organic movement.
