This new cycle of activities at SocialFestBcn 2025 presents a program focused on art as a transformative tool in the healing processes of ourselves and our relationship with the land. In a world where healthcare systems are often dominated by hegemonic Western perspectives, the festival opens an intercultural dialogue to explore and honor different ways of understanding healing. Through art, workshops, performances, ceremonies, and gatherings, we will engage with the wisdom of Indigenous peoples, ancestral cultures, and other forgotten or marginalized epistemologies, challenging the colonial gaze on the body, mind, and spirit.
This cycle of activities begins in September and will conclude in January 2026, offering a space for holistic, open, and collaborative recovery, working through our connection with the environment and ourselves—through sound, music, dance, writing, painting, and more.

Performance "El viatge dels ocells". Eloïsa Matheu and Barbara Held
As part of this performance, renowned biologist and soundscape pioneer Eloïsa Matheu will share her experience as an audio-naturalist, revealing how art and science intertwine to shed light on the environmental crisis. This sensory immersion will be accompanied by live music performed by flutist Barbara Held.

SOCIAL FEST BCN is a gathering of various actors from the environmental, audiovisual, artistic, and creative fields to engage in dialogue and propose solutions to the social and environmental challenges of our cities, aiming to achieve collective responses toward more sustainable development.
