Week for Palestine

Activity program organized by the resident artists assembly, Mòniques for Palestine
23 March 2026 - 27 March 2026

The Week for Palestine is a public program of free activities open to the general public that will take place from March 23 to 27, in celebration and commemoration of March 30, Palestinian Land Day. Throughout this series of activities, spaces for reflection on memory, resistance, and collective creation will be offered. In the words of the resident artists organizing the cycle:

"The continued genocide that the State of Israel and its accomplices are carrying out against the Palestinian people and its territory urges us to reflect and act. Therefore, those of us in Les Mòniques have set up a specific assembly in which this has been the main focus of our work.

The Mòniques assembly for Palestine has been structured as a process of self-organisation in which a group of resident artists have understood that occupying a place within the Santa Mònica institution also implies a position of privilege and an opportunity for political mobilisation. Recognising this, the assembly aims to collectively organise a space from which to speak out critically, from and towards the institution.

Since last September, we have promoted different weekly activities and internal training spaces that are currently being opened and expanded with the aim of socialising knowledge and thinking together about contemporary forms of political mobilisation. In this framework, the Week for Palestine is being organised, which will take place between 23 and 27 March. It will feature various activities, actions and meetings aimed at generating critical spaces and weaving alliances within the Santa Mònica.”
