When my grandmother's house was no longer hers, the photo album was handed out as the only possible inheritance. Now, my mother and I review the few images that exist and that, for years, shaped my family imaginary. Together, we invented a new album in which we trace the lines that link us to my grandmother, that woman who always appears with a hard, suffering, unsmiling expression.
