Gastrònoma matèrica is a sound and stage experience that invites us to listen to the body from the inside. The artist Àlex Rigol investigates the hidden sounds of the body – such as swallowing, intestinal vibrations or guttural sounds – and transforms them using a granular synthesiser and a steel instrument.

In an intimate and ritualistic space, a single performer activates sound textures that connect the human body with metallic matter. A unique and immersive proposal that invites us to listen to what is usually silenced.

Àlex Rigol

Àlex Rigol is a sound artist, a creator of participatory installations and electroacoustic instruments. His work moves between experimental music and performance, exploring the body and matter as sound sources. He has developed projects such as Simplexitat, Orkestrònia, Introscòpia and Chaos Machine, an installation based on chaos theory. Rigol proposes ritual and immersive experiences that dissolve the boundaries between the organic and the material, the audience and the active agent.
