The piece centres on the relationship between an Ivorian father and his mixed-race daughter, in which affection sits alongside the wounds of history and the invisible marks left by geographical and symbolic displacement. The father, who left Côte d’Ivoire to build a life in France, embodies both the tenderness of care and the remnants of trauma that cannot always be put into words. It is precisely this threshold, between what remains unspoken and what keeps pressing to the surface, that the work unfolds.

.Abigaïl Sia is a multidisciplinary artist of Ivorian and Italian heritage, born in France, who has combined performance, research and activism since 2020. Strongly informed by her studies in sociology, film and gender studies at Université Paris 8, her practice focuses on postcolonial identity-building, mental health, systemic violence, and the experiences of racialised people and those with intersecting lived experiences. Through the notion of embodied resistance, she uses the body, voice and sound as tools of memory and political reflection. Throughout her career, she has explored the invisibility of trans people, exhibited and collaborated in international venues in cities including Paris, London, Trieste and Strasbourg, and worked in cultural mediation for leading institutions such as the Louvre, the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d’Orsay.

Pascal Beugré-Tellier is a Franco-Ivorian dancer, choreographer and videographer. Born in Côte d'Ivoire and raised in France, he has developed a rich and distinctive artistic practice, nourished by sociopolitical themes and his extensive stage and creative experience. He has worked with numerous choreographers, including Georges Momboy, Garth Fagan, Thierry Smits, Vincent Mantsoe and Abou Lagraa.
