TESTIMONY, a meeting organised by R.A.M. - Education Guild Mòniques, aimed at teachers, educators, active mediators, those in training, retired people interested in art-education/education-art, and with the special participation of the teacher of teachers specialised in art and education Glòria Jové, and Sara Torres Vega, teacher, artist and researcher in the development of radical pedagogies.

During the meeting, we will dialogue on the basis of the exhibition xxx with trigger readings. We will connect past-present-future through figures that we understand to be key in the history of education, culture and politics from Catalonia to the world. We will do a collective exercise to ‘make memory’, we will question ourselves about how artistic and educational practices can share objectives and add potentialities, to think-feel-imagine-debate the future of education from the present.

We will create a performance to pass on the testimony, to recognise each other in order to ‘think together about the education of the future’ and to project relays that are capable of promoting the transformation of educational contexts in complicity and constant dialogue with the different agents and with the arts as a tool for action, thought and research.

Education Guild:

Anita García
Artist, mediator and eCOdesigner. With her work she explores sensory memory from the plant universe. She approaches interspecies dialogue and research to understand the relationship that we humans have with the rest of living beings and in this process, formalise work, dissemination and learning tools to integrate in social design projects, artistic-community mediation open to formal and informal education programmes.

Martí de la Malla
Artist and educator. His professional practice combines teaching and didactics with artistic production, with the aim of investigating the aspects shared by both disciplines. With a strong interest in childhood, adultcentrism and school, he often works from the hidden curriculum and institutional critique to carry out projects that transform or reflect on environments, praxis and agents of both the art world and the educational world.

Roc Domingo Puig
Cultural worker. His practice moves between creation, artistic mediation and cultural management, where he takes the opportunity to approach the cultural and material structures linked to a specific context, paying attention to the objects that maintain them and/or make them possible, with the intention of making visible certain tensions or naturalised assumptions. Hee is interested in the intersectionality between art and education, and in experimenting with artistic dynamics outside the official context.

Glòria Jové (Guild Collaborator)
Teacher, pedagogue and doctor in Educational Sciences. Lecturer at the University of Lleida in teacher training. She directs the innovation and teaching group ‘Hybrid Space’, which explores the relationship between the arts, education, and teacher training, learning through the arts, heritage and territory. Several of her publications (such as Maestras contemporáneas, 2017) describe projects in which the arts enable the transformation of the curriculum and contribute to professional improvement, with a view to becoming reflective, creative, critical and inclusive professional teachers, capable of educating in the schools of the 21st century through correspondence.

Gastronomy Guild 2024-25:

Made up of Mohammad Alsharqawi, Alejandro Granero Ferrer and Yazel Parra Nahmens, they explore the somatic, spiritual and political dimension of food, connecting culinary practices with ritual and community processes. Their lines of research are: the dietetics of the spirit, the pre-linguistic stage of food and the delocalisation of flavours. From here they want to bring body and soul, hospitality and social transformation into dialogue. Through personal narratives, cultural exchanges and philosophical reflections, they approach food as a tool for resistance and collective bonding. The research opens up to practices of healing, coexistence and artistic mediation.
