Rubén H. Bermúdez, Y tú, ¿por qué eres negro?, 2014-2025, installation, photography, video, variable dimensions.
The installation is based on the photo book Y tú, ¿por qué eres negro?, a project that explores blackness in Spain from an intimate and collective point of view. The space is built from the fragmentary, moving between the documentary and the poetic, through photographs, texts and personal archives. A piece that aims to be a mirror for us to tell our own stories.
Rubén H. Bermúdez is an artist. In 2014, he initiated the project Y tú, ¿por qué eres negro?, developed into a photo book (2017) and a film, A todos nos gusta el plátano (2021).
