@AnnaGiralt
Filmmakers Anna Giralt Gris and Jorge Caballero invite us to get to know Artefacto, their research and production centre, as well as their interest in expanded cinema with artificial intelligence (AI). The session will include video screenings of their most recent creations.
The activity will address one of the contradictions they work with: how to manage the tension between rigorous artistic creation – focused on AI and computational cinema – and the quest to go viral in our time?
To reflect on this question, they will share their creative process and screen two recently produced works:
Membrana, volum I, a film essay based on the novel Membrana, b Jorge Carrión.
Direcció: Anna Giralt Gris
Guió: Jorge Carrión and Anna Giralt Gris
Producció: Jorge Caballero
Breu sinopsi: The year 2100. An enigmatic voice reveals the connection between humanity and technology in the Amazon, where AI has created the 21st-century museum and hybrids with algorithmic consciousness redefine the human essence.
#, a generative video experiment created by Jorge Caballero and Anna Giralt Gris, reflects on the patterns and automations derived from this same creative tension.
