Palco de honor 

The VIP box at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium has long been associated with political, economic, and corporate power, particularly through its connection to Florentino Pérez. Drawing from various football match broadcasts, Paula Artés has compiled a series of images of high-ranking political, business and economic figures who have frequented this space - a fact that has often led to questions being raised about the purely sporting function of a VIP box that is intricately linked with various business dealings and contract awards.

An artist and photographer committed to revealing and questioning hidden spaces of power and control, her work is grounded in essential prior research that unveils these spaces. She holds a degree in photography and contemporary creation and has exhibited in several prominent venues. In June 2025, she will present a new work titled El cabal del riu at an exhibition curated by Manolo J. Borja Villel at the Museu Habitat, and in May 2025 she will show Who Holds the Power at the Panoràmic Festival as part of the Festival de la Imagen in Colombia. In 2024, she received the award for best exhibition in the Art Nou program at the Àngels Barcelona gallery, where she also began representation and exhibited at ARCO. Additionally, she held a solo exhibition at the Centre d'Art Lo Pati in Amposta and took part in the group exhibition Antibiografia, curated by Alexandra Laudo.

Her project was also featured at the Centre Grau-Garriga as part of a group exhibition awarded in a curatorial open call. Her work is part of the collection of the Generalitat’s National Photography Plan, the Museu Morera, and Mapfre Tenerife. She published the photobook Fuerzas y cuerpos through a crowdfunding campaign, and has been selected for festivals such as PhotoEspaña, Sala d'Art Jove, and Unseen Amsterdam, among others. She has been nominated for various international awards, including the Gabriele Basilico Prize (2025) and the C/O Berlin Talent Award (2024). She has also curated exhibitions at the Museu de la Música and the Fundació Toni Catany, and has completed residencies at HISK in Belgium and Baladre at Lo Pati.
