Onar (HYPAR + Maria Mora) invites us to explore intimate and collective memory through improvisation, sound and movement.
Created by violoncellist Clara Torner and live electronics artist Gerard Erruz, HYPAR works within the genres of experimental music, ambient music, noise music and free improvisation. In these genres, contemporary music techniques and digital media harmonise and feed into one another to create new soundscapes.
The process begins with an exploration of mimesis, transformation and the contrast between ambient and instrumental sounds. This gives rise to narratives that unfold within a sound ecosystem reminiscent of dreams and memories, constructed from fragments, images and recollections.
With the presence of Maria Mora, the body dances with sound in a space of shared indeterminacy, where each gesture and each vibration redirects what is unfolding. Improvisation becomes a field of deep listening and constant transformation, a place where the boundaries between sound and body grow blurred.
This experience invites the audience to suspend their disbelief and allow themselves to be moved by whatever happens. It is a space-time in which dreams and memories, gestures and sounds intertwine until they become a single entity.
